About BookBridge

Growing up, books were my safe-place. As a kid, I would immerse myself in 500-page books, impatiently waiting for my weekly trips to the library. Now, life is becoming much busier, but that magic hasn't faded for me—I still engage in fantasy worlds through books every night.

I started BookBridge because I believe every single child deserves to experience that same magic. I want the younger generation to see reading not as a chore forced upon them by a school curriculum, but as a thrilling adventure they actively choose.

But unfortunately, the reality is that a love for reading requires access to books—and right now, many kids do not have the ability to have such books.

Many public schools in my community and across the country are severely underfunded. This means elementary classrooms often lack the engaging books that actually get kids excited to read. To make matters worse, the books that do make it to the classrooms are usually paid for straight out of our teachers' own pockets—and they are already influencing the younger generations while being underpaid.

That is why BookBridge exists. Our mission is to bridge the gap between underfunded classrooms and the experiences children should have access to— becoming a student at Hogwarts or trekking through the snow in Narnia. Through BookBridge, teachers and schools have 100% free access to engaging literature, ensuring that financial barriers never stand in the way of a child's imagination. Together, we can take the burden off our teachers and inspire a lifelong love for reading, one book at a time.
